We just wanted to let you know that we are extremely happy with our basement renovation. The result is beyond our expectations and we can't believe how our basement was transformed into an amazing new living space.

We solicited 3 quotes and met personally with each contracting company. The key things we were looking for in our renovation was an open living space, a fireplace, storage, pantry and 3-piece washroom. Each session included a walk-through of the basement, a discussion on general design, and a follow- up with a quote. TGC was the only company that:

Re-affirmed that they would maximize the ceiling height and explain in particular how it would be done.

Advised that they would move the drain while others were leaning towards covering it up with a floor panel which is not what we wanted.

Made a recommendation of where to locate the washroom (which was different than the rough-in) and explained what plumbing that would be done

Aside from our basement renovation, we wanted to, install a new window at the top of our staircase on the 2nd floor. This required a cut-out of the outside brick wall. TGC was the only company that didn't hesitate to take on this part of the renovation and explained how this would be done

The quote was competitive and allowed us flexibility in selecting products from various suppliers/retailers

Tom followed up regularly with what work had been completed and what was being on worked on next. These follow-up calls also set expectations on changes to schedules

During the renovation, we decided to install a back-flow preventer to protect our new basement from any potential flooding; Tom explained the options and this was implemented with ease

I would like to thank Tom and all of his team for the amazing renovations done to our home (both inside and out) in 2014.
Because we had to live in our home during the "transformation," Tom went out of his way to ensure our family of four (and two dogs!!) remained comfortable and had access to all amenities as required.
Tom has an amazing sense of design and helped us through every step of the renovation process. His team of contractors were always on time and kept the job site clean and neat after every work day. He kept us informed during each phase of the reno and his timelines for our project were right on the mark!

Tom Persaud has been the project manager on renovations to our basments during the past six weeks. It has been our pleasure to have him in our home as he has demonstrated a very professional work ethic in managing our renovations witch were very challanging .
Having an older home, built in 1936, we met many suprises from a ''wet'' basement to adirt floor in the recreation room. Instead of seeing these ''suprises'' as problems, Tom saw them a challenges to be solved. His expertise and knowledge showed through in excuting the plans of the architec, he paied attention to every detail of work from construction of rooms to drywall and painting. The end result is a beautiful basement which i'm sure will enjoy for years to come.
Tom was always dependable, arriving for work as scheduled. He worked diligently to complete work on time and coordinated other tradesmen to keep running smoothly.

After the beautiful beautiful bathroom you did for us we knew you were the right person to bring our new kitchen dream to reality. You tackled this huge job which included moving plumbing and installing a new skylight with complete professionalism, always calm and very pleasant in the midst of all.

I wish to advise that TGC Contractors inc. has done a marvelous job of the reovating our two bathrooms. One was the relocation and widenining of the door. The other was a complete reovation of the bathroom, from plumbing, wiring, tiling and painting.
The workers who assisted him are also extremely compentent, friendly and knowledgeable. He does a great job of cleanong the site daily and removing debris. He is a very congenial and plesant gententelman, and I have no hesitation in recommending him for any renovation/ construction job.
Should the occasion arise, I would highly recommend him and have no hesitation in contacting him to again do alterations/renavations for us.
